Today, Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana announced Wildebeest, a new record breaking ProSlide water coaster for their Splashin’ Safari Waterpark.  The new ride will be world’s longest water coaster at 1,710 feet long and will deliver a 2:30 ride. Riders will board rafts in a station located on the ground (different from other slides which usually feature slide towers, requiring rides to climb stairs) right out of the station the rafts will climb a 64 foot tall conveyor lift hill, then the ride truly begins with a 4 story drop at a 45 degree angle. Through the course rides will travel down 7 drops and into 3 tunnels (2 of which take riders underground.) The ride will use LIM’s (Liner Induction Motors) to boost the riders through the course. Wildebeest will be located behind the Bahari Wave Pool.

Wildebeest looks like another great investment for the park and the record will sure make it an instant hit with the general public. I definitely look forward to watching this ride take shape!
