Since last year, RCDB’s Magic Mountain page has a coaster listed as “unknown steel sit-down, 2010, under construction”. Now, this does not necessarily mean that it is really a steel sit-down, for RCDB lists unknown coasters as this until they recieve more details. According to the LA Times and Mark Shapiro, Magic Mountain will be getting another coaster for 2010, and a “Wiggles World” area.

After the successful addition of “Terminator Salvation: The Ride”, the new coaster will either be another hit, or be a misfire like “The Dark Knight”.

Here are some possibilities for a new coaster:

1. Magic Mountain does not yet have a full-curcuit launched coaster. Someone said that Mark Shapiro claimed he was “working with Intamin to break some records”, so it could be another Intamin rocket. This is unlikely, as Six Flags might want Kingda Ka to stay dominant.

2. Magic Mountain does not have an indoor coaster. The new coaster could be another new indoor coaster, though I doubt it will be another “Dark Knight” clone.

3. Magic Mountain’s “X” was a very unique coaster, and perhaps Magic Mountain will be getting another one-of-a-kind or rare coaster.

There are also rumors that “Islands of Adventure” will be getting a new coaster as part of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”. However, there are also rumors that the new ride will be a dark ride. It has been confirmed that Dueling Dragons will become “Dragon Challenge”, and Flying Unicorn “Flight of the Hippogriff”.

1. There are rumors that a robocoaster is coming to IOA. It will most likely be placed in the large building that is being constructed.

2. People also think that an inverted dark ride will be in this building. Both experience would be amazing.

I think they should start adding to SFGAM some more… O.o

But they really are ignoring a lot of parks. Same how Michigan’s Adventure is ignored by Cedar Fair.
