Jumbo Jet at the famed Coney Island is a nostalgic roller coaster that is now defunct. However, this Schwarzkopf Jumbo Jet remains a very cool piece of roller coaster history in my mind. The unique trains, layout and design make it so distinct and ever lasting in my mind.
What I find best about this version compared to the others is the structure surrounding the lift hill. While it is nothing to outlandish, it stands out enough to make you recognize the coaster when you see it. Jumbo Jet, like the others features an electric spiral lift that is unique to this model the company makes.
As it winds through the twists and turns of the track, going up and down the hills. Unfortunately due to malfunctions, the ride was forced to close down for about a year, where it was later removed after being sold to a park in china. It is too bad this ride didn’t remain in the park and recieve a new fresh coat of paint which would have made this nostalgic park a hit in my book.
