For October, we asked what was your favorite Halloween event.  Readers gave us their park thoughts and after lots of input, where is the best place to spend their Halloween: Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, Knott’s Scary Farm, Knobel’s Hallo-fun!, Busch Garden’s Howl-O-Scream, or Kennywood’s Phantom Fright Nights.  No surprise, but the clear winner in this race was Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights earning 45% of the vote.

Which Halloween event is the best of them all?

  • Universal's Halloween Horror Nights (45%, 27 Votes)
  • Knott's Scary Farm's Halloween Haunt (32%, 19 Votes)
  • Knoebels' Hallo-Fun! (3%, 2 Votes)
  • Busch Gardens Tampa's Howl-O-Scream (7%, 4 Votes)
  • Kennywood's Phantom Fright Night (13%, 8 Votes)

Total Voters: 60

While there were some who voted for Knott’s Scary Farm, and almost none voting for the other three, it’s apparent that voters love the high-detailed, intricately themed environments that only a movie studio could offer.  It looks like the original (Knott’s Scary Farm) was outdone by a Universal, a candiate who has only been in the game for the past 20 years.

For the next two weeks, until Wednesday the 1st of December, we ask which Six Flags park is your favorite.  With so many to choose from, choose wisely.  Is it Six Flags Magic Mountain, the coaster giant with a whopping total of 18 roller coasters as of next year?  Or perhaps it is Six Flags Great Adventure with wood and steel monsters, like El Toro and Kingda Ka.  Maybe you prefer the wide variety of coasters at Six Flags Over Georgia including the beastly B&M Hyper Goliath?  Maybe it’s your hometown park.  You decide!
