Carowinds releases Planet Snoopy names and new show

Carowinds surprised fans today by releasing a full list of rides names for the Nickelodeon Central retheme to Planet Snoopy, becoming the first of the five Paramount/Cedar Fair Park’s to do so.  Here’s the rundown of all of the renames announced:

Roller Coasters:

  • Rugrat’s Runaway Reptar > Flying Ace Aerial Chase
  • Hey Arnold’s Taxi Chase > Lucy’s Crabbie Cabbie
  • Fairly Odd Coaster > Woodstock Express

Flat Rides:

  • Nick-O-Round...

Supports arrive at Lagoon, new family coaster for 2010?

A collection of small supports have arrived at Lagoon in the last week. Nothing is known about what they’re for, but the size leads most people to believe that its a family roller coaster of some kind.

So far these supports are the only development, no land clearing or track at this time.

Intimidator topped off at Carowinds

Today was a big day for not only Carowinds, but the entire Southeast. Carowinds 13th roller coaster, Intimidator, was topped off, and is now officially the tallest roller coaster in region at 232 feet tall.
